Nali’s Strategy for Ecological Balance

Two Decades of Urban Greening and Wildlife Conservation (2005 - 2025)

1. Founding Thesis: From the First Sapling to a National Legacy

For Nali Organization, the environment is the "First Cell of our Foundation." In 2005, our journey began with the creation of a garden in Bakrajo—a site that stands today as a flourishing sanctuary and a testament to our commitment. We believe that a healthy environment is a fundamental human right and its preservation is a supreme moral obligation.

2. Urban Intervention: Combatting Pollution at its Source

Nali adopts a scientific approach to urban afforestation and sanitation, focusing on:

Carbon Footprint Reduction: Collaborating with traffic authorities to mitigate emissions from vehicles and factories as primary CO2 sources.

Public Environmental Literacy: Empowering citizens to adopt sustainable behaviors to combat global warming and urban pollution.

3. Strategic Initiatives: "So They May Not Die of Thirst"

Nali Organization emerges as a powerful field coordinator during periods of crisis. The massive campaign, "So They May Not Die of Thirst"—led by Nali in a coalition of eight organizations—was a decisive response to safeguard nature:

Drought Mitigation: Installing 20 permanent water stations across the mountains of Sulaymaniyah to sustain birds and wildlife threatened by severe thirst.

Environmental Security: Providing 16 advanced surveillance cameras to the Forest Police to combat illegal poaching and protect regional biodiversity.

4. Strategic Partnership and Vision 2026

As a strategic partner to environmental directorates, Nali continues to evolve its field operations. We do not just advocate for the environment; we actively protect it. Our 2026 roadmap includes expanding green campaigns and integrating modern technology into forest preservation and nature conservation.
